The first three Kum & Go locations in Detroit have been identified.

The Warren Planning Commission agreed to a site-plan for a $2 million Kum & Go convenience store. The store will be a 4,000-square-foot location, including a 24/7 convenience store and gas pumps. Located at the Southwest corner of 14 Mile and Hayes roads, this will be the beginning of the Iowa-based company’s expansion into Michigan. Atwell is supporting the site development for Kum & Go.

Michael McPherson, Director at Atwell, shared, “You’ll see more of these around the area. This is competing to be the first one with another one in (Shelby Township). So, we’ll see which one we can get through the approval process first and under construction.”

The store has more than 400 locations nationwide and looks forward to the expansion into Detroit and Michigan overall. Read the full article in Crain’s Detroit Business.
