Atwell Welcomes Jim Welch, RPA

Atwell is pleased to welcome Jim Welch, RPA, to our team as Senior Cultural Resources Specialist. Jim has more than 37 years of experience in cultural resources management and environmental compliance services. His expertise includes conducting survey, testing, monitoring, and excavation fieldwork, as well as, evaluating sites utilizing NRHP and state criteria, and technical report preparation and editing. He has supervised teams on projects across the western and Midwestern United States for clients in the oil and gas, mining, pipeline, wind energy, electrical transmission and distribution, transportation, aviation, telecommunications markets.

Jim earned his Masters of Applied Anthropology/Public Archaeology from the University of South Florida. He is a registered professional archaeologist and a member of several organizations, including Society for American Archaeology, Plains Anthropological Conference, North Dakota Archaeological Association, Council of Texas Archeologists, Wyoming Association of Professional Archaeologists, Utah Professional Archaeological Council, Nebraska Association of Professional Archaeologists, and Professional Archaeologists of Kansas.
