Amtrak 2010 ADA Improvement Plan

Atwell was chosen to assist Amtrak with an aggressive program to update accessibility at over 60 passenger train facilities in 12 states, all within a compressed timeframe of 220 days. The projects included site surveying, preparation of civil construction drawings, permit acquisition, and construction supervision. Services include:

Challenges & Solutions

Tasked with an aggressive schedule, Atwell mobilized rapidly in order perform topographic surveys at 60 passenger train facilities, spread throughout 12 states, within a three week period. Engineering drawings were similarly expedited over a 30 day period so that contractors could obtain building permits and bid the work.
